Founded in 2015 in Cupertino, California, SHOPUBBI began as a simple hobby—selling pieces for friends, family, and through other popular resale platforms. What started as a small side passion quickly gained momentum as demand grew and our focus on quality became clear. This organic growth led to the launch of our own independent platform in 2020, marking the beginning of SHOPUBBI as you know it today.

SHOPUBBI was built around a simple idea:
Secondhand shouldn’t feel second-rate.
Some of the best pieces already exist. They’re sitting in closets, private collections and wardrobes—sometimes worn only once or twice, sometimes never worn at all, and sometimes still carrying their original tags.
Yet for years, shopping secondhand often meant accepting an experience that felt completely different from shopping retail.
We wanted to change that.

We carefully select merchandise based on quality, condition, style and desirability, then present it in an environment designed to make discovering something pre-loved feel just as exciting as discovering something new.
Because secondhand doesn’t have to mean dirty, damaged, outdated or heavily worn.
In fact, much of the merchandise you’ll discover at SHOPUBBI is New With Tags, New Without Tags, barely worn or maintained in exceptional condition.
And when a piece does show signs of its previous life, we believe you should know about them before you buy.

SHOPUBBI+ is our collection of brand-new, never-worn and never-used merchandise, selected to complement the SHOPUBBI world.
From fashion and accessories to furniture, home and lifestyle pieces, SHOPUBBI+ allows us to offer more without blurring the distinction between new and pre-loved.
When something is SHOPUBBI+, you’ll know it’s new.
When something is Pre-Loved, you’ll know its condition.
No guessing.
And Then There’s UBBIKINI.
Born from the same world, UBBIKINI brings SHOPUBBI’s eye for style to swim and resortwear.
It exists as its own collection within the wider SHOPUBBI destination, giving our customers another way to discover pieces selected around the way they actually live, dress and travel.
From California to Canada.
SHOPUBBI has roots on both sides of the border, with bases in Santa Cruz, California and Vancouver, British Columbia.
Our wider operation includes pickup and fulfillment capabilities across select locations in California and Canada, allowing us to work with customers and sellers well beyond a single city.
But SHOPUBBI was never built to feel like a traditional local consignment store.
From the beginning, the idea was bigger:
Create a modern destination where new and pre-loved can exist side by side.
Why Pre-Loved?
Because a great piece doesn’t stop being great when someone else owns it first.
Quality clothing can be worn again. A designer handbag can have more than one owner. Something that no longer fits one person’s wardrobe can become another person’s favorite piece.
Resale gives existing merchandise more opportunities to be used instead of forgotten.
